PROJECT UPDATE | Ferndale Oval, Dalyellup Sports Lighting Project

Great news for community and budding sports superstars in our midst, the lighting towers for the Ferndale Oval lighting upgrade have sailed into Fremantle Port and will be making their way down to us.

What a shame they couldn’t have hitched a ride with the Purple Haze that descended a couple of weekends ago!

The contractor will be back onsite from Monday 29 June through to Wednesday 1 July to assemble and install the four lighting towers: along with carpark lighting.

Please note: The northern carpark on Ferndale Avenue will be unavailable for use during this time.

There will also be exclusion zones set-up on the oval between the hours of 6:30am to 3:30pm, as a high load crane will be operating.

Please follow the direction of the contractors undertaking the works and any signage in place.

Next steps – checking the automation and flipping the switch!

This project is part of the WA Government’s PlayOn WA, an exciting initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by 2030.
