We’d like to keep the community informed about the current closure of Gwindinup Bridge on Gwindinup Road.

Following a recent routine and scheduled inspection by Main Roads to ensure bridge safety, it was identified that significant maintenance works are required to be undertaken by the Shire.

🛠 What this means:
• The bridge is closed to all traffic
• Pedestrian access remains open
• Works are currently expected to take approximately six months

The closure was not anticipated by the Shire, as the outcome of the inspection required immediate action. We understand this may be frustrating and disruptive, and we sincerely apologise for the inconvenience caused.

💬 What’s next?
We’ll continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available, including clearer timeframes as the project progresses.

For further information or to discuss this matter, please contact our Engineering Team via info@capel.wa.gov.au
