The Shire has received a Development Application for a Mixed Use Development consisting of existing Tavern (to remain), proposed Short Stay Accommodation proposed Over 55 Village and Clubhouse Facilities on Lots 28 and 165 Capel Drive, and Mixed Use, Retail/Apartment on Lot 12 Forrest Road, Capel.

Given the estimated cost of the development of $30 million, the Joint Development Assessment Panel (JDAP) will be determining the application.
