Have Your Say: Draft Public Health Plan 2026β2030
Agree the Shire of Capel has a critical role in managing all aspects of health and wellbeing and commend such a policy. We also see real challenges in monitoring climate change and evolving economic situations, and food security becoming a real issue.
However, as long term residents of the shire, we are now dismayed and disappointed that the Wilman Wadandi Highway was ever allowed to be pushed through Gelorup and inflict such a disastrous outcome on us through noise and pollution, affecting our mental health, connectivity and water collection.
With the above in mind, one aspect that needs stricter consideration, is the overall character of the place and why people initially move here.. The attraction was not proximity to a highway, noise or pollution.
Thank you for your contribution!
