Jules Road North Upgrades

The Shire of Capel plans to install a blister island on Jules Road, just before the Frances Road intersection, heading north.

There are also plans to extend and connect the footpaths along Jules Road, as part of the Shire’s capital works program, enabling community to travel uninterrupted by foot.

A speed limit will be introduced, as Jules Road is currently unzoned (unposted), allowing vehicles to travel to the maximum speed of 110 km/per hour.

In consultation with Main Roads, it has been proposed a speed limit of 70km/per hour be applied based on surrounding infrastructure, vehicle and pedestrian volumes and the latest traffic data.
